Our community thrives on the foundation of civics, and we are so excited to be partnering with The Civic Trust of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation to bring the National Civics Bee to the Chicago Southland region! This competition invites 6th, 7th and 8th grade students from public, private, charter and home schools to participate in a civics competition, with the grand prize totaling $100,000.

 

We are seeking essays from middle school students interested in this opportunity for the first round of the competition! The 2025 Essay Guide is designed to assist students in preparing their essays. The application portal is live, and students are able to submit their work through Tuesday, February 4th at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time.
